Principal Electrical Engineer

I'm currently supporting a growing energy transition platform seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership across a portfolio of renewable energy projects.

This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer to move beyond a purely design-focused role and become a key decision-maker across project development, engineering assurance, grid integration and project execution.

Key areas of focus include:

• Technical leadership across battery storage and distributed energy projects
• Engineering assurance and design review activities
• Grid connection strategy and engagement with DNOs and network stakeholders
• Supporting project delivery teams through construction, commissioning and energisation
• Managing technical interfaces with suppliers, OEMs, EPCs and consultants
• Identifying and mitigating technical risks across the project lifecycle
