Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria (or alternatively Filton, Bristol if desirable). Hybrid, onsite TBC.

Contract: 12 month. Pay rate £58 p/h PAYE basic (£66.43 p/h including holiday pay) or £78.33 p/h Umbrella.

We are looking to recruit a Principal Systems Engineer to work for our leading defence client on complex systems for submarine projects.

Core Duties

• Assists in the production of estimates, creates and/or assists in the production of design requirement specifications.
• Develops, promotes and shares new technologies for implementation across businesses and programmes.
• Acts as Engineering, technical or design authority for a sub‑system or Line Replaceable Unit (LRU).
• Provides technical leadership and guidance on matters relating to a discipline, may occasionally lead a team of engineers including line management responsibility.
