Production Engineering Internship (Mechanical)

About the role

Join Halter’s Production Engineering team to help build and scale world‑class hardware manufacturing. This internship spans manufacturing process improvements and mechanical tooling/fixture design — you may focus on one area or work across both depending on project needs.

This internship will run from mid‑to‑late November 2026 and end in February 2027. It will be onsite & full‑time 40 hours a week over this period.

What you’ll do

• Support day‑to‑day manufacturing problem‑solving on the floor (assembly + test): observe, collect data, and help run trials.
• Design and build small mechanical fixtures/jigs and line‑side improvements (in CAD and hands‑on).
• Help develop and validate process changes (pre/post comparisons, simple DOEs when appropriate).
• Create and update work instructions, visuals, and training materials to improve consistency.
