Job Description
The Program Specialist I, under general supervision, supports a fire department capacity building program by serving as the primary point of contact for program participants and providing technical and financial assistance. Responsibilities include processing applications, purchase orders, reimbursements and payment vouchers for accuracy, eligibility and compliance with policies and procedures. The Program Specialist maintains records, enters transactions in systems such as FireConnect, FAMIS and VFDAssist and helps educate customers on program requirements, timelines and financial processes.
