Overview
This role focuses on engine and fuel control engineering for military aircraft, encompassing design change, obsolescence management, testing, and project oversight.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical authority for turbine engines, focusing on fuel control units, engine components, LRUs, and component repairs/re‑manufacturing.
- Manage the technical health of the engine fleet by monitoring and improving Condition Monitoring/In‑Service Health Monitoring (CM/IHM) programs at the engine and component level.
- Analyze engine and accessory performance data to recommend maintenance program changes, including TBO/MTBO adjustments, on‑condition strategies, and reliability improvements.
- Lead or support design change and obsolescence activities related to fuel controls and components, including alternate parts, repairs, and vendor changes.
