Overview
***This position will be physically located in The Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP***
Under the supervision of the Port Engineer, the QMED performs major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair on gasoline and diesel marine engines and related marine equipment using schematics, technical drawings, and OEM Manuals.

+ Operates and maintains electrohydraulic controllable pit propeller systems and steering engines, AC&R systems, air compressors, desalinization systems and auxiliary boilers.
+ Performs testing on marine engines and equipment, determining repair needs or adjustments and aligns fuel, water and air piping systems.
+ Oversees the operations of engines.
