Main Purpose of the Job
The QA Officer ensures that software or application releases meet business requirements and will not negatively impact ongoing operations and production functionalities.
Key Accountabilities
- Estimates, prioritizes, plans, and coordinates testing activities across other QA testers and Business User testers.
- Designs test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
- Executes both manual and automated test cases for various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and performance.
- Identifies, isolates, and tracks bugs throughout testing.
- Identifies any potential problems that users might encounter.
- Documents software defects using a bug tracking system and reports defects to software developers.
- Researches and analyzes product features being tested.
- Provides testing progress updates.
