Overview
In a 6‑month overseas deployment, the Reconditioning Specialist delivers exercise and reconditioning services to Canadian Armed Forces members and partner nationals, enhancing morale and welfare.
Responsibilities
- Lead reconditioning programs for CAF members with medical conditions.
- Design exercise prescriptions and programs supporting reconditioning and injury prevention.
- Provide fitness counseling to clients with physical or mental injuries.
- Coordinate physical fitness evaluations, baseline testing, and assessment protocols.
- Collect, assess, and report data; write case management reports.
- Collaborate with medical providers to review limitations and develop rehabilitation plans.
- Coordinate and lead physical fitness and motor skill events.
- Support local team training and professional development.
- Assist partners with healthy practices and injury prevention initiatives.
