Regional Compliance Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

The Regional Compliance Specialist is responsible for all aspects of Project Based Section 8, Low Income Housing Tax Credit, HOME, and Bond compliance for Monroe Group’s growing portfolio. The position evaluates and monitors all properties to ensure compliance with applicable affordable housing programs, stays current on regulatory changes, and trains property management staff nationally. The role reports to the Director of Compliance and is based in the Denver Corporate office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Evaluate agency requirements and implement compliance procedures for all properties.
• Stay current on updates and changes in affordable housing programs, monitoring state agencies for new policies and providing updates to the Compliance Manager.
• Notify Property Management staff of program changes with clear written communication.
• Respond to compliance-related questions from Property Operations personnel.
