Position Summary
A registered nurse will provide comprehensive care for patients in the South 3 36‑bed general medicine & hemodialysis complex continuing care unit at the E.W. Bickle Centre, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support individuals with chronic and complex health issues or traumatic injuries.
Duties
- Plan, manage, evaluate and coordinate professional nursing care for patients and families within an interdisciplinary context.
- Use evidence‑based knowledge and input from team members to plan and implement care for Complex Continuing Care patients and families.
- Educate patients, families, referring facilities and community providers regarding dementia care.
- Participate in inter‑professional team care planning forums, inter‑professional rounds and family conferences.
