Research Associate

The Department of Zoology at The University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, invites applicants for a full‑time, PhD‑level research associate in fish physiology and gill regeneration. Reporting to Dr. Colin Brauner, the applicant will have exceptional skills and research accomplishments in fish physiology, with a focus on gill resection and regeneration in Atlantic salmon integrating molecular, biochemical and physiological responses. The successful applicant will work closely with an active research group focused on various aspects of fish physiology.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the Department of Zoology and the Biodiversity Research Centre research activities.
  • Support ongoing research on fish physiology and gill regeneration.
  • Contribute to project design, execution, data analysis, and publication.
  • Mentor undergraduate and graduate research students.
