Help empower children as a Running & Reading Club Mentor with Start2Finish in London, Ontario. This volunteer position focuses on building confidence through fun and engaging activities every Thursday.
As a mentor for students in Grades 1-6, you will be instrumental in fostering literacy and healthy lifestyle choices at Victoria Public School. Your role will involve conducting fitness activities and assisting with reading, ensuring a fun and supportive environment. No running experience is necessary; every volunteer can contribute uniquely.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in enjoyable fitness activities with children
• Read alongside students one-on-one
• Serve nutritious snacks to participants
• Lead lively literacy-focused games and activities
Requirements:
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Background check required before volunteering
• Committed to the volunteer code of conduct
• Able to travel to the program site
