Job Description

We are presently recruiting for a Safety Officer to join our civil engineering company in Douglas, Cork City. You will hold a minimum of two years previous experience and you will promote a culture of health, safety, and compliance across all construction projects. This is a full time, permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor compliance with Irish H&S legislation, company policies, and client requirements.

Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.

Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training to staff and contractors.

Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.

Support project managers in developing method statements and safe systems of work.

Maintain accurate safety records and documentation for regulatory audits.

Promote a proactive safety culture across all site operations.
