AltaSteel seeks a detail-oriented Scrap Auditor to maintain high-quality standards in steel scrap inspections. This hands-on role prioritizes accuracy and communication in a busy yard environment.
Reporting to the Yard & Scrap Inspection Supervisor, your role includes extensive inspections of incoming scrap steel to ensure compliance with pertinent specifications. You will build valuable relationships with drivers and peers while focusing on maintaining strict quality assurance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough inspections on delivered steel scrap
• Adhere to AltaSteel Scrap Steel Specifications
• Execute chemical analyses on scrap samples
• Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials
• Record inspection results and communicate issues clearly
