Job Description

Section Chair & Co-Chair (2-year term)

Responsibilities:

  • Arrange and chair topical Section meetings and activities throughout the program year.
  • Attend Council meetings and the Annual General Meeting and prepare Section Reports or other material as requested.
  • Serve as the Nova Scotia representative on the National Section’s Executive.
  • Stay informed about changes (legislative, judicial, etc.) that may impact the practice area and liaise with CBA-NS staff and Committee Chairs as needed to propose advocacy work, member communications or other initiatives.
  • Attend any orientation or other meetings that may be arranged by the Executive Committee, Section Committee and/or the Section Activity Coordinator when invited.
  • Such other responsibilities as may be requested by the Executive Committee, Section Committee and/or the Section Activity Coordinator throughout the program year.
