Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as a Security Guard with the U.S. Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS), 596th US Army Transportation Surface Brigade, 832nd United States Transportation Battalion, Police & Security division located in Southport, North Carolina. Responsibilities Control access of vehicles, pedestrians, boats, rail cars and aircraft/drone access to the terminal. Perform badge spot checks, random vehicle inspections of incoming and out-going containers/equipment. Respond to emergency situations. Guard and protect Federally owned property, buildings and equipment. Conduct rudimentary inquiries and interview witnesses/suspects of violations.
