Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a SEN Science Teacher on behalf of a specialist partner school in Sunderland.
The school supports pupils with Autism, SEMH needs and associated learning difficulties through small class sizes, personalised learning plans and therapeutic interventions.
The Role:
- Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
- Adapting lessons to suit individual learning needs
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Delivering engaging and practical learning experiences
- Promoting confidence and independence in learners
- Working closely with support staff and leadership teams
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- SEN or alternative provision experience desirable
- Ability to differentiate effectively
- Positive and resilient attitude
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusion
