SEN Teaching Assistant

The 1:1 Teaching Assistant will assist in the educational, personal, and social development of a child with SEN under the direction and guidance of relevant colleagues (e.g. Headteacher, SENCo, Class Teacher).

• Have experience working with children with SEN on a 1:1 basis or in class.
• Preferred training or experience in Makaton.
• Be passionate about working with SEN children.
• Be flexible, proactive and patient.
• Be able to communicate effectively within a team.

The role would be term time only from 8.35am – 3.20pm, Monday to Friday, totaling 31.25 hours a week. This is a fixed-term contract until 31st August 2027 subject to ongoing funding being received . Salary is £12.71–£13.26 per hour for 31.25 hours a week, equating to £17,555 to £18,314 per year (actual) depending on experience.
