Job Description

About the role

:
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Assist teachers in delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning styles and abilities.
  • Support students with emotional regulation, behaviour management and social interaction within the classroom and around school.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, independence and engagement in learning.
  • Implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and behaviour support strategies effectively.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, pastoral staff and external professionals to support student progress and wellbeing.
