WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:
The Senior Underwriter is responsible for assessing and pricing Property & Casualty risks, quoting and binding new and renewal business, and making underwriting decisions regarding coverage and premiums. This role analyzes risk-related information from various sources to support decision-making and provides mentorship and guidance to Intermediate and Junior Underwriters.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Evaluate, price, and underwrite new and renewal Property & Casualty business while balancing profitability and client needs.
- Analyze complex risks and make informed underwriting decisions regarding coverage, pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Review and assess insurance applications to deliver timely, competitive, and customized solutions.
- Exercise underwriting authority to approve, bind, and manage policies within established guidelines.
