Shared Lives Carers' Needed

Waltham Forest Shared Lives Scheme is currently recruiting individuals to become Shared Lives carers. Anyone can apply; you don’t need formal experience.

Note: you will be self‑employed and responsible for your own Tax self‑assessment and National Insurance contributions.

You do need to be compassionate and committed to offering meaningful support to adults aged 18 and over who have care and support needs.

This may include people with:

• Learning disabilities
• Autism and Learning Disability
• Mental health needs
• Sensory disabilities
• Dementia/Older people
• Support needs after hospital discharge

You will receive

• A fee for the accommodation and support you provide starting from £600 per week.
• Information, training and dedicated support from the Shared Lives Scheme.
