Job Description
Technical Repairs & Maintenance
Diagnose and repair ship engines, propulsion systems, boilers, pumps and electrical systems.
Structural Mechanical Work
Perform hull repairs, welding, piping and outfitting.
Project Management
Plan and schedule dry-docking and repair projects, manage budgets and ensure timely completion.
Inspection & Testing
Survey vessels to detect defects, analyze damage and conduct operational tests.
Coordination
Liaison with ship owners, crews, subcontractors and vendors.
Compliance & Safety
Maintain Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards in the shipyard.
Education & Experience
A degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Typically 5+ years of experience in ship repair, with specific knowledge of propulsion systems or thrusters.
