Job Description
Progress Rail Canada is looking for an experienced signal engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for signal design of various freight projects and be a key point of contact with our customers and transit authorities. The position is an in‑office based role that could be located in several cities, including Calgary, Edmonton, Vaughn, Burlington, Mississauga, London, Montreal, and others.
Key Job Elements
- Design, 2nd level check, and 3rd level check wiring plans and software (ladder logic and program configurations) for wayside (including CTC, PTC, ABS, and interlockings) and grade crossing warning systems.
- Review preliminary engineering and scope of work for projects, including single line drawings and route and aspect charts.
- Review for compliance with applicable client and regulatory body standards, rules, and regulations.
- Apply P. Eng. stamping 3rd level as part of checking and review.
