We are currently seeking a Software Development Specialist to join our team in Guadalajara, Jalisco (MX-JAL), Mexico (MX).
Primary Responsibilities
Experience with Kafka and Zookeeper
Continuously monitoring the health of the Kafka clusters and setting up alerts to proactively identify and address potential issues
- Identify and troubleshoot job failures, performing basic root cause analysis (RCA) before escalating.
- Ensure timely escalation of persistent issues to developers and data engineers.
- Analyze job run times and identify opportunities for performance tuning.
- Assist in data flow optimization by working with developers on mapping and parameter tuning.
- Monitor cloud resource utilization (CPU, memory, storage) to prevent performance degradation.
- Support scheduled maintenance activities, including system upgrades and patch management.
- Develop basic scripts or alerts to detect job failures proactively.
