A three (3) Star hotel located in the Eastern Region requires the services of a Sous Chef.

Job Description


• Prepare and assist in food preparation in collaboration with the kitchen Supervisor.

• Assist in menu planning, inventory and management of supplies

• Ensure food preparation, presentation and dishing are of the highest quality and are served in a timely manner

• Ensure quality food and good kitchen standards are maintained

• Comply with all food portion sizes, quality standards, departmental rules, policies and procedures

• Ensure safety standards at the hot kitchen are maintained

• Utilise kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, whips, pots, warmers, grills, oven, etc to prepare food items

• Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly

• Ensure freshness and quality of all menu items
