SEND Secondary Teacher – Hackney

A fantastic SEND secondary school in Hackney is looking for a caring, committed Teacher to join their supportive team. Students (11-18) have a range of needs including autism, SEMH, and communication difficulties.


What you’ll do:

  • Provide individual and small‑group support to students with diverse SEND needs

  • Use positive behaviour strategies to help students regulate and engage

  • Support communication, social development, and emotional wellbeing

  • Contribute to a safe, calm, and inspiring classroom environment

  • Support with EHCP targets, helping students work toward personalised goals

  • Adapt learning materials to make lessons accessible

  • Support sensory needs, including helping students use sensory tools, take movement breaks, or access quiet spaces
