Position Description

Major responsibilities

• Assessment and provision of the most effective form of communication, including AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) and SGCDs (speech generating communication device), through trials and collaboration with school, family and multi‑disciplinary team members.
• Communicates and interprets results of formal and informal testing to families and school personnel.
• Confirms children/students meet Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) eligibility requirements; if eligible, proceed with AADL Communication Assessment and Action Plan (CAAP) form. If not eligible, consider other funding options.
