Job Description
Summary: Provides Speech Language Pathology services to patients of all ages including adolescents, adults and geriatric patients who are referred; Evaluates disorders of speech, articulation, fluency, voice, language, oral pharyngeal function or cognitive communicative function of the patient; Develops goals and treatment plan in conjunction with the patient and family/significant other; Executes treatment program; Provides education to patients, families and caregivers; Supervises Speech Language Pathology students and support staff in compliance with hospital and state regulatory policies. Must meet departmental per diem requirements as set forth by management.
Education: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from a Speech Language Pathology program accredited by the American Speech and Hearing Association; Passing score on ASHA national exam; Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association, Clinical Fellows considered.
