- Identify, evaluate and select suppliers for indirect materials and services.
- Negotiate prices and contractual conditions with suppliers.
- Maintain solid relationships with existing suppliers and seek new supply opportunities.
- Evaluate supplier performance and manage situations where the supplier is out of target.
- Analyze purchasing and cost trends to optimize the MRO budget.
- Prepare reports on purchasing performance and propose improvement strategies.
- Work closely with other departments (Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, etc.) to understand their needs and ensure adequate supply.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects related to the supply chain.
- Keep the catalog of materials to be purchased and their prices updated.
