Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Perform general accounting work relating to the preparation, control and administration of the district financial resources. At all times, the primary goal is to promote the support of the students, campuses and administrators of the district.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance-related field.
  • TASBO Certification a plus.

    •  Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate accounting problems, develop data, and recommend improved procedures
  • Ability to work with staff regarding grants, activity funds, and budget
  • Ability to use personal computer and software to develop complex accounting reports, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Ability to work with numbers in an accurate and rapid manner
  • Knowledge of computerized accounting systems
