Steel Fabricator

About the Role

We are looking for a Steel Fabricator to join the McConnell Dowell family to work within our Mechanical Division in Auckland. The Steel Fabricator will be based at the Auckland workshop and site work in the Auckland area as required with our operations, reporting to Mechanical Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform fitting, welding and other fabrication duties as directed.
• Ensure safe work conditions are maintained at all times.
• Maintain and check all mechanical gear on site at the start of each shift.
• Ensure critical items of plant and equipment are 100% available when required.
• Assist production crew if and when needed.
• Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the welding equipment on site.
• Ensure that welding activities are performed to a high standard.
