Summary

Under the direction of the department supervisor or manager, responsible for the organization, maintenance, and documentation of all specialty surgical supplies and instrumentation. Responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, monitoring and leading the specific group of staff. Is responsible for the day to day operations of staff. Is available for questions or direction with decisions for staff members and brings concerns or issues to the Supervisor. Works as a liaison between Sterile Processing, Operating Room, and vendor representatives, ensuring instrumentation is available for surgery and ancillary areas. Plans, organizes and orders surgical instruments and implants. Maintains instrument inventory and record of all borrowed/loaned instruments.
