Summary:
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, assembling, and storing items in a sterile environment as well as ordering supplies, maintaining par levels, and stocking for the department.
Responsibilities:
+ Decontaminates, disinfects, and thoroughly cleans supplies, instruments, and equipment used with patients.
+ Assembles supplies, instruments, basin sets, used in a variety of clinical settings in accordance with policy/procedures. Wraps and prepares all items for sterilization with appropriate labeling. Usesappropriate sterilization method based on manufacture’s guidelines. Ensure parameters of sterilization are met.
