Job Description
We are looking for a Stone Conservator to join a conservation project.
Position: Full‑time, fixed‑term contract with Henkilöstöliiga. Duration to be confirmed after the condition assessment of the statues.
Working location: Heated hall in Helsinki, primarily indoors during the autumn and winter seasons.
Responsibilities
Conserve and restore stone statues independently for reinstallation in their original locations or for museum display, depending on condition.
Qualifications
- Formal education in stone conservation.
- Previous professional experience in similar conservation projects with references or documented evidence.
- Knowledge of conservation documentation practices, material analysis and cleaning methods.
- Expertise in structural reinforcement, patching, and jointing.
- Fluency in Finnish considered an advantage.
