Position Summary

MUST apply at Assembles and fits to drawing dimensions of all kinds of structural, plate and mechanical materials into all types of assemblies in a shipyard setting.

Primary Responsibilities And Duties

• MUST Read blueprints, section and plan drawings, and weld symbols to derive measurements, dimensions, and quantity of material needed to fabricate a structure.
• Unload, sort, and stack heavy steel pieces, then hoist each one into the proper place for fastening.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steel products such as beams, braces, pipes, and plates for jackets and decks.
• Lay out and fit pipe, beams, decks and jackets; frame skids, bends, and elevations for jackets; cut plate, pipe, and beams using a cutting torch.
