Teaching Assistant: Permanent

Hours: 32–35 hours per week, worked over 5 days. Paid weeks include term time and INSET day (45.05 paid weeks).

Salary: Grade 5–6 (points 5–9) depending on experience. Actual salary range for 35 hours per week is £20,909 – £22,275 per annum (pay award pending). Progression route to Senior Teaching Assistant at Grade 7 is available.

Start date: 1 September 2026. The role supports students across Key Stage 3 and 4 with complex needs and challenging behaviour.

Responsibilities

Support teachers and other education professionals both independently under teachers' direction and alongside them. Work with small class sizes to provide bespoke, individualised learning. Duties vary according to age and additional needs of students.
