Job Description
DUTIES:
Under general supervision of the Manager of Services:
- Provide employment support to adults and youth with an intellectual disability and/or autism. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Assessments
- Employment readiness training
- Job coaching and follow up
- Recruit community employment by:
- Making cold calls to employers, following up and closing
- Job carving
- Creating innovative marketing materials to be used for various audiences
- Promoting the benefits of the program through individual meetings and group presentations
- Negotiate terms with employers in particular contractual situations
- Promote and assist in the development of natural supports within the work environment
- Promote the department to the public via media, schools, group presentations, conferences, etc.
