Job Summary
The GTAW (TIG) Welding Instructor is responsible for the daily operations of the program through a variety of responsibilities including facilitation, instruction, and learner support.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Deliver theory and practical instruction in:
- Oxy-Fuel welding, cutting, and gouging.
- Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG).
- Fabrication and repair of tubular structures.
- Trade-related math, measurement, blueprint reading, and documentation.
- Provide instruction on shop and workplace safety.
- Administer and oversee work practicum components, coordinating with industry partners.
- Provide instruction and supervision in general lathe operations and milling procedures (e.g., test plates).
