Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of commodity contracts and their obligations.
  • Negotiate contract terms with suppliers and external parties, facilitating internal alignment for contract signing.
  • Plan and execute shipments in accordance with contractual agreements, ensuring proper interpretation of terms.
  • Oversee payments and receivables, including Letters of Credit and other financial instruments as stipulated by contracts.
  • Assist in cargo planning, including vessel nomination, shipping advisories, insurance declarations, and agent appointments for port operations.
  • Manage shipping documents and payments, ensuring accurate invoice issuance by suppliers.
  • Issue provisional, preliminary final, and final invoices in a timely manner, adhering to contractual terms.
  • Settle accounts receivable and payable, including details regarding laytime and freight differentials.
