Position Overview
The Transcription Officer is a casual position responsible for the accurate and timely production of court transcripts. This role supports the development of in-house transcription capabilities and requires strong typing, transcription, proofreading, editing and administrative skills, along with excellent written English, attention to detail and comprehension abilities.
Reporting to the Transcript & Recording Coordinator, the Transcription Officer will produce high-quality transcripts of court proceedings from a variety of audio and video sources. The role requires adherence to established templates, standards and deadlines, while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, confidentiality and quality assurance.
