Job Details

• Location: Surrey, BC V3S 3J2
• Salary: $37.00 hourly, 30 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time
• Start date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes using GPS or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Maintain professionalism in customer service.
• Obtain special permits and documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods.
• Oversee vehicle condition; inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct pre‑trip, en route, and post‑trip inspections; oversee all vehicle aspects.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
