Job Description
I have an urgent role for a Linux Engineer holding active eDV Clearance on a contract basis. You'll be responsible for managing, monitoring, and improving Linux-based systems across development and production environments.
Rate: Up to £650 / day Outside IR35
Location: Gloucester
Key responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Linux servers and infrastructure
- Troubleshoot system, network, and performance issues
- Automate routine tasks using Bash, Python, or similar tools
- Support deployments, security updates, and system monitoring
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams
Requirements
- Strong experience with Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, or RHEL)
- Knowledge of scripting and automation
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, networking, and security best practices
- Experience with monitoring and configuration management tools
