Job Description
Responsibilities
- Monitor computerized reports
- Correct the materials system
- Review BOM/PPAP/Purchase contracts and scheduling
- Coordinate activities with different Materials departments
- Monitor the resolution of issues that arise in the Materials System
- Maintain frequent contact with others outside the work team
- Provide support in resolving problems with suppliers and scheduling
- Maintain updated inventory information for unique parts
- Attend New Product meetings (assisted by supervisor)
- Follow up on purchase orders placed with suppliers
- Track purchase orders and their assigned promise dates
- Ensure that critical parts identified are purchased as soon as possible
- Communicate with affected users when a critical part reaches zero inventory (Reaction Plan)
- Contact suppliers to resolve excess or shortage issues
