Program Overview
NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program offers final‑year veterinary technician students the chance to gain real‑world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment.
You can split your time between two locations and shadow Large Animal Veterinarians on the road to local farms.
Program Details
Work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs to develop your clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology and more.
Practicums range from two to eight weeks, fitting your schedule and career goals.
Eligibility & Stipend
Eligible students are those enrolled in an accredited veterinary technician program in Canada and completing their final practicum in their final year.
Students receive a stipend to help with travel expenses, allowing them to focus on learning without financial worries.
