Overview

The University of British Columbia (UBC) seeks a visionary Vice‑President, Research & Innovation (VPRI) to champion research excellence, drive innovation with impact, and deepen UBC’s role as a partner of choice in addressing global challenges. A member of the senior leadership team, the VPRI reports directly to the President and will provide strategic leadership across UBC’s Vancouver and Okanagan campuses. The role supports the full research and innovation continuum—from discovery to creation and application—and aligns with UBC’s strategic priorities of discovering and innovating for impact, excelling in emerging technologies, and partnering for purpose.
