Volunteer Coordinator

Overview

We are looking for someone to champion our Ambassador Programme, finding new ways to reach blind and partially sighted people with the resources and services we offer. You would oversee the onboarding process for all volunteers and manage all volunteer processes, communications and recognition.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, train and assign tasks to volunteers.
• Research and implement new outreach or publicity avenues for the programme.
• Recruit and onboard Ambassadors from Torch Fellowship Groups and other sources.
• Design and deliver training; monitor feedback and improve the programme.
• Seek outreach opportunities such as care homes, attend in person as required.
• Act as line manager to Torch Ambassador volunteers.
• Work with the Church Partnership Coordinator to assign Ambassadors to events such as speaking engagements and exhibitions.
