Weekend Irrigation Ops & Maintenance Technician

Downer is seeking a part-time Operations & Maintenance Service Technician to oversee the Rangitata irrigation scheme in Timaru, Canterbury. This role involves practical problem-solving and ensuring systems run smoothly while working independently outdoors. The technician will monitor river conditions, manage water flows, and maintain equipment while providing essential support.

The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, a full driver licence, and have an awareness of risk and responsibility. Experience in irrigation systems or mechanical maintenance is advantageous.
