Responsibilities
- Uses blueprints, templates, jigs and other guides to prepare, modify, or fabricate metal items.
- Performs welding and cutting activities using electric, gas and inert gas shielded welding and cutting processes.
- Includes material planning and the physical layout, positioning, clamping and heating of metal with temperature control.
- Ensures processes comply with ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Leads learning, understands and complies with applicable health, safety and environment directives.
- Participates in the development of a safe and healthy working environment.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies, manuals, procedures and work instructions.
- Performs welding and cutting activities using various materials including mild steel, aluminium, stainless steel and other non‑ferrous metals based on engineering specifications.
