Job Description

The role:

  • Preparing, restoring and refinishing forklift trucks and material handling equipment

  • Carrying out filling, sanding, body shaping and surface preparation work

  • Completing minor welding, fabrication and structural repairs

  • Applying primers, undercoats and topcoats using spray equipment and traditional methods

  • Masking and protecting components prior to painting

  • Conducting quality inspections to ensure high standards are maintained

  • Working in line with COSHH regulations and health & safety procedures

    • The successful candidate:

  • Previous experience within commercial vehicle, plant machinery or industrial painting

  • Strong preparation and finishing skills

  • Basic welding and metal repair experience

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively within a workshop team
